R&D Weekend Cell Culture Technician
Miromatrix is a biotechnology company on a mission to save and drastically improve countless lives by eliminating the organ transplant waiting list. Through our proprietary perfusion decellularization and recellularization technology, we are bioengineering human livers and kidneys to solve the large unmet clinical need that exits today. Our decellularization technology has been used to manufacture our commercialized liver-derived soft tissue reinforcement, MIROMESH®, and advanced wound care, MIRODERM® products, and will provide the foundation for our advanced whole-organ products.
Miromatrix has an immediate opening for a highly motivated R&D Weekend Cell Culture Technician at our Eden Prairie, MN facility. Primary duties include:
• Perform high-volume mammalian cell culture
• Seed and maintain whole organ bioreactors
• Collect and analyze media samples on the bioanalyzer
• Updating and sending out bioreactor progress reports
• Preparing and autoclaving supplies in the laboratory prep room
Position schedule is Thursday - Monday.
BS degree in biology, one of the Life Sciences or Engineering disciplines including Biomedical Engineering or Tissue Engineering. Highly proficient in mammalian (adherent) cell culture with at least 2 years of experience. Proficiency with Excel is a must. Excellent organizational, verbal, written, and interpersonal skills are essential. Enthusiasm for a collaborative work culture. Must have reliable transportation and be able to lift 40 lbs.
Consideration given for progressive educational accomplishments and related work experience.
Preference given to candidates with prior mammalian cell culture experience and/or prior aseptic technique experience.
